A Miami Man Brought A Screwdriver To A Gunfight, And Learned A (Popping) Hard Lesson

The Rage Of A Road Hog

Never Bring A Screwdriver To A Gunfight — The Odds Will Be Stacked Against You.

A road rage incident, on NW 12 Avenue at NW 8 Street, left a Miami man struggling for his life at an area hospital — on Tuesday afternoon.

A City of Miami Police report shows the incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m.

The driver of a light colored Pickup truck lost his mind and almost lost his life in the process when he stepped out of his vehicle — holding a “large screwdriver –” and approached the operator of a gray Chevy SUV that he was feuding with.

The driver of the SUV pulled his weapon and shot multiple times through his window(s) that were in the up position — injuring the “May Tag Repair Man,” holding the screwdriver.

It appears that the screwdriver man thought the gray SUV needed some fixing or perhaps he wanted to screw the driver of the SUV… to his seat?

After interviewing the shooter (who had on a blue top and dark colored shorts) at the scene, Miami Police carted him off to headquarters for furthering questioning.

The incident caused authorities to close the 12th Avenue Bridge for over eight hours. It was reopened at 9:30 p.m.

Florida, the Gun Shine State never fails to open fire.

    Where is the love?

    • Where is the love? Great question! In heated moments, folk must learn to stay in their vehicle. It’s somewhat of a “safety zone.”
Once he exited his vehicle, he put himself in harms way. There are many willing to kill, then use the “stand your ground” law as an excuse. They need to stay in the car and if necessary call the police, if they feel they’ve been “wronged.” Or like you said: take deep breaths. Ya Think.
