One ATV rider was killed on Sunday and another injured and hospitalized, after they lost control of their all-terrain-vehicle.
There was a group of about 25 riders traveling southbound on the Palmetto Expressway when the incident occurred.
It is one thing to ride carelessly on the local road, but quite another to ride recklessly on the expressway, where traffic travels at a high speed.
Authorities will be out in full-force on Monday — MLK Day — monitoring riders and seeking to arrest violator of the law.
It is illegal to ride ATVs on paved roads, in Florida.
When you go to war, you put your helmet on… when you go riding — put your helmet on.
