Urban Beach Weekend Turns Deadly On Miami’s South Beach — Again.

Jeffery Alexander SoBe Killer

Shot and killed over a parking space — the killer(s) chased by Miami Beach police who opened fire — two dead.

MIAMI BEACH, FL.

As the nation memorialize the ultimate sacrifice made abroad by some warriors to give Americans the privilege to freely carry their firearms, here at home, some ungrateful, untamed, lawless goons take it upon themselves to use their guns to kill each other.

Miami Beach Commissioner M. Grieco Longs For The Good Old Days

As Urbanite tourists flock to SoBe for Urban Beach Week, most come with peaceful intentions and just to have a great time, others come to Miami to create havoc, mayhem and with murder on their minds.

They come with murder in their minds because that is the only reason why some carry guns to what is supposed to be a weekend of fun in the sun — in Miami Beach.

After the shooters had committed their cowardly act of murder over a parking spot, as expected, they fled the scene leaving two occupants of the other vehicle that bested for the parking spot injured.

One of them died from the gunshot wound he sustained.

MBPD gave chase to the four goons that fled in a white BMW; a gun battle followed and one of the killers was shot dead by MBPD officers.

Miami Beach Police Chief Daniel Oates

Three others in the run-away vehicle have been arrested — all four occupants of the vehicle are from New York. Jeffery Alexander from New York was charged with charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.

One of his partners died at Ryder Trauma Center on Monday.

Too bad NYPD did not “stop and frisk” them before sending them to Miami.

Miami Beach Police Chief Daniel Oates did his best to put lipstick on the pig, to tidy up the 200 Ocean Drive incident that occurred on Sunday night, but it was too late.

“We do not expect something like this to happen,” Oates, said. “I want to point out we’ve had quite a few years without any incidents like this on Memorial Day weekend.”

But Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Grieco had a different opinion of the shootings and said it’s due to Urban Beach Weekend, which is not an event sanctioned by the city. “Urban Beach Weekend is a thing of the past,” said Grieco.

At least one other festivity that Grieco is a part of had been canceled because of Urban Beach Weekend.

His frustration is understandable. but some business owners view “His statement was irresponsible and incendiary.”

Grieco added that he would like to see Miami Beach bars, clubs and restaurants close as early as 10 p.m., which he believes will bring an end to Urban Beach Weekend.

However, business owner Mitch Novik opined that “The bigger problem is Ocean Drive, which encourages lawlessness.”
