Man Used Pigeon Ruse To Rob Home Owner (Miami Round Up)

Hialeah, where the water is free, but the cocaine is costly.

Hialeah, FL

According to Angel Garcia, 51, while he was outside feeding his pigeons on their roosts, Joel Figueroa, 48, approached and offered to buy the birds — it was a ruse.

Figueroa then asked Garcia for a glass of water, Garcia obliged and upon entering his home to get the water, Figueroa followed him inside; brandished a handgun and attacked him.

Garcia resisted the Fig’s advances, and they struggled for possession of the gun. The Fig got one round off into Garcia’s abdomen. The fight moved outside, where Garcia used a statue that was on the verandah to clock Figueroa on his head.

An emergency crew arrived on the scene, about 10:30 a.m. Monday to the apartment at 5015 Palm Avenue. Garcia was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Figueroa was given a free ride to the county jail — where there’s lots of water there to drink.

That was Monday.

On Tuesday, after Garcia’s released from the hospital, Hialeah police returned to Garcia’s home and arrested him for possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, according to Hialeah police Sgt. Carl Zogby.

Zogby said Figueroa is a convicted felon with 12 previous arrests for grand theft, cocaine trafficking, armed burglary, armed robbery, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, among other charges. He was on probation when he was arrested.

It would appear that the two geniuses believed that the guns in pawn shops aren’t real and that the owners don’t know how to shoot them.

Buffoon Bandits

Shortly after the attempted robbery commenced, it concluded with a gunfight and the two bumbling buffoons quickly slithering through a store window empty handed.
