New Jersey Transit Commuter Train Slams into Platform
According to transit officials, over a hundred people have been injured and at least one person was killed, when a commuter train carrying passengers in Hoboken New Jersey failed to stop, at a platform where hundreds of waiting customers were standing.
The train had a passenger load of approximately two hundred and fifty passengers when it left the tracks and made contact with potential riders.
Witnesses report hearing a loud screeching sound, and many ran to safety, as the run-away train approached platform.
First responders are busy on scene rescuing and aiding those who were impacted by the crash.
NTSB Investigators are on scene, the cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
