BSO Union’s high-tech lynching went wrong.
Ever since Sheriff Gregory Tony was appointed to head the Broward Sheriff’s Office, on January 11th, 2019, BSO’s Union head shop steward Jeffrey Bell has developed a hard-on for Tony. It appears that Bell’s being in heat for Tony could only be quenched by Sheriff Tony’s termination and total humiliation.
After Bell penned a derogatory article, about Tony, in the Sun-Sentinel, he then went on TV spreading lies and bad-mouthing the department — according to Sheriff Tony.
“Deputies across this country are falling ill and losing their lives all in the name of keeping us safe,” Schwartzreich said. “It was Jeff Bell’s job as union president to voice his concerns for their safety. He was suspended for doing his job.” Jeff Bell, BSO lead shop steward.
Shop Steward Bell has increased his animosity toward Sheriff Tony after Tony took disciplinary action against three white deputies. They were involved in slamming, on the concrete, the head of Delucca Rolle, a fifteen-year-old African American J.P. Taravella High School student.
Jeff Belle agreed with and applauded the police brutality against Rolle — Tony disagreed.
On Friday, April 10th, Sheriff Tony decided enough was enough and suspended bell with pay. Some people see Jeffery Bell as a corrupt cop and a dirty thief.
In a retaliatory move, on April 18th, Bell arranged to have a no-confidence vote against Sheriff Tony.
April 18th, 2019 is the anniversary of the attempted murder of student Delucca Rolle in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant, in the city of Tamarac — that led to the discipline of three deputies.
The deputies voted mostly along racial lines with 693 deputies voting against Tony, and 98 voted with confidence in his ability to do the job. There are roughly 1400 BSO deputies in Broward County. This 1400 number does not include Correctional Officers who report to the Sheriff as well.
The votes are ceremonial and have no bearing on the job status of the Sheriff. Indeed Mississippi is burning.
On April 10th, 2020, Tony gave Jeff Bell a cold shower, and Bell’s little wing, wing, went dead. It shriveled up like a dried up prune or a snail (without water) crawling on a hot summer’s street pavement.
Subsequently, Jeff Bell has called in his little blue pill (attorney Eric Schwartzwcich) to help him get it up and working again.
Bell has hired (probably using union dues) his attorney Eric Schwartzwcich to help him lather up his dead wing, wing to take down Broward’s first sheriff of African American descent.
The letter with charges leveled against Jeff Bell reads.

“Well, I think the presumption that you’re making is the nature of this internal affairs is exclusively driven by one comment that he made or some type of article that he has written, and there is so much more substance to the nature of this investigation,” Tony said when questioned by newsies.
