Lauderhill Police Vehicle vs Civilian Car — Dangerous Crash.

Lauderhill PD Officer Violates Right-Of-Way: Witness Claims

Haste Makes Waste, They Say.

Witnesses verified that due to the crash, at least two people, including the City of Lauderhill police officer were and one person from the private car was transported to an area hospital.

One witness on location who gave his name only as “Ray” says that at about 8:00 p.m, a City of Lauderhill police car traveling north on University Drive just south of Commercial Boulevard collided with a Nissan.

The crash occurred when the police car attempted to make a U-Turn in front of oncoming traffic southbound traffic.

Blinded-sided By Cop Making A U-Turn

At which time, a gray Nissan compact vehicle traveling south on University Drive crossed Commercial Boulevard, which is a busy intersection that often experiences multiple vehicles running the traffic signal light to avoid a lengthy wait at the red light. The gray Nissan had the right-of-way, and reportedly the LHPD car did not have its emergency lights on.

No one knows at this time what exactly happened to cause the accident, and Lauderhill PD still has the incident under investigation.

But the version that “Ray” gives seems to match preliminaries, based upon the position of the police vehicle and the gray Nissan car.

The impact caused the LHPD police car to spin around and came to a rest facing east on the northbound lanes of University Drive, with the right side sustaining substantial damage while the front of the gray car is smashed in and crumpled.

The airbags of both cars were deployed. “Ray” claims that the driver of the Nissan, after the accident, exited the car tried to walk around but soon collapsed from what appears to be a broken leg.

The crash remains under investigation by LHPD.
