Miami-Dade: 1-Year-Old Left In Hot Car Dies, In Pinecrest Community

A one-year-old child has died on Tuesday, one day after he was found in a hot car parked in front of his home, in the vicinity of SW 124 Terrace and SW 77 Avenue.

Miami-Dade police released information that confirmed that Samuel Schnall passed away after doctors at Baptist Hospital did all they could to keep him alive.

 

Child Left In Car Dies

Temperatures reached a searing 82 degrees in Miami on Monday. The child was left in the car unattended for just over an hour.

Neighbors described the homeowner as a very nice person and said they believe she is an employee od Miami-Dade College.

Police also revealed that the family member that left the baby inside of the blue Toyota Camry was not the parent of the child, but was out and about most of the day. The boy was discovered in the car at or about 3:15 p.m.

No charges have been filed, but homicide detectives continue to investigate the death.
