Two-legged K-9 resigns before termination.
On Saturday, a gun-toting mad dog with a Baltimore city-issued badge attacks a Baltimore man for not producing identification on demand.
The man attacked, by the officer, was identified as Dashawn McGrier and his attacker identified as Officer Arthur Williams, a less than 18-month veteran of the Baltimore Police Department.
A video posted online shows Williams viciously assaulting his victim, while his partner gingerly attempts to restrain him from his violent attack upon the 26-year-old loud-mouth belligerent Dashawn McGrier.
The video shows blood gushing from McGrier’s mouth as Williams beat him.
The mad officer’s co-conspirator is now on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
The attacking office, Arthur Williams, who masterminded the assault had a history with his victim and falsified his police reports before regarding Dashawn McGrier.
Officer Williams made contact with McGrier in June of this year and arrested him for assaulting an officer.
So since June Officer Williams has been harboring hate in his heart for McGrier and driving around with a hard-on for him.
Not knowing that there was a bounty on his head; McGrier was out in a public space on Saturday, with his friends, when Williams and his partner saw McGrier and decided to exact revenge on him for the previous police report that he (Williams) had falsified.
Baltimore FOP Union, an organization, known for celebrating and defending every criminal act committed by police officers against citizens seems to shy away from committing to a full-throttled defense of Williams in this case.
Lt. Gene Ryan, president of the Baltimore police union, said that at first look, the video leaves a “very bad perception” of officers.
“The facts still remain that whether he was having a bad day at home or at work, you still have to maintain control of yourself at all times.”
On the advice of counsel, Officer (Willie Lynch) Arthur Williams resigned before his termination was to take effect.
BPD released a statement that reads in part, “The officer involved in yesterday’s incident is no longer with the Baltimore Police Department. Interim Commissioner Tuggle has accepted his resignation.”
