Today Is Called National Freedom Day — February 1st
On what is traditionally called National Freedom Day, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted along party lines to confirm Donald Trump’s nominee Jeff Sessions as U.S. attorney general.
It was on February 1, 1865, that President Abraham Lincoln submitted the 13th amendment to the state legislatures.
During this morning testimonials, Senator Al Franken (D-MN) delivered some strong blows to the head of the snake, but Sessions was revived by his fellow Republican Senators.
Sessions confirmation now moves to the full Senate floor for final confirmation.
In another contrary move, the President hosted a group of prop-like, happy-looking negroes this morning. As the cameras rolled they introduced themselves and announced their involvement in the community.
The look on their faces was reminiscent of the little boy (in the video) held hostage by Saddam Husain during the 1991 Gulf War.
Next week the full Republican-controlled Senate is set to vote… it is all but certain that Senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions will be confirmed as the next United States attorney general.
Sessions will take charge of the DOJ agency and its 113,000 federal employees and or contractors.
