An egotistical, unread, Salt Lake City, Utah, police detective try to cover up possibly a crime committed by his department or attempted to protect officers who perhaps violated departmental rule during a police chase — arrests a nurse for not aiding and abetting him.
Nurse Alex Wubbles explained to the detective and his partner the reason she would not violate the civil rights of the unconscious patient.
After Utah police department demanded a blood sample from a near dying man, nurse Wubbles presented to the impatient officer (in a nut shell) the fourth amendment protection guarantee that his department and her employer (the University of Utah Medical Center) signed off on.
Coming to the defense of Wubbles, the University of Utah said: ” it supports her decision to focus first and foremost on the care and well-being of her patient.”
During the confrontation, Wubbles called her supervisor who asked Detective Jeff Payne” Why are you blaming the messenger, sir.” He further went on to advise the detective that he was making a huge mistake.
In other words: it’s going to cost you your job if you keep acting like a fool, sir.
Wubbles informed him of the agreement made between the police department and the hospital.
Sir, you’re going to need a warrant for that according to the Supreme Court 2016 decision.

Reuters is reporting that Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill ordered a criminal investigation Friday into the actions of Detective Jeff Payne based on his July 26 behavior at the hospital.
Although, Chief Mike Brown claimed that he was appalled by what he saw on the video, privately Payne still enjoys his support.
