One of the most unnatural things (in life) is for a parent to bury a child.
I’d just walked out of the gym, about 2:35 p.m. when the blaring sirens of a battalion fire chief vehicle speeding west on Atlantic Boulevard (in Coral Springs) caught my attention.
Shortly after that, there were myriads of marked and unmarked units racing on University Drive and, I thought to myself something “big” is going on.

Where was/is the cavalry when black kids are slaughtered?
Shell-shocked, PTSD, children, wander in and out of elementary, middle and high schools every day in more impoverished black communities or walk around in one of the American nightmares called the ghetto or the hood.Why?
Because their best friends and classmates are shot by thugs and in some cases by the cavalry — for them; it’s just another day in the ghetto and the after-effects of a slave-trade and slavery that they consciously know nothing about except for living it daily.
Although, they know not of the ghost of a slave trade that penetrates and embedded itself into their lives and DNA, yet their precious lives are affected by it.
Their lives are precious to their parents but not precious to the beneficiaries of the American slave trade.
So the neighborhood streets that these children walk on to and from school have become their calvary or “Place of the Skull.”
Quite often; they see dead bodies all around them.
It’s become the norm — nobody cares. No voices are raised on their behalf because supposedly it is their station in life.
Governor Rick Scott and Florida AG Pam bigoted Bondi don’t raise their voices. They don’t promise an indefinite supply of psychological counseling.
Why?
Because it is the hand they have “chosen,” and it’s their station in life. And the Rick Scott and Pam Bondi goal is to allow these traumatized kids become adults and pass on the trauma on to another generation.

White America doesn’t have to say it, but it’s understood: White Lives Matter!
When BLM, the fringe group says Black Lives Matter — the response of the opposing force was swift and brutal.
Oddly enough, the lives of all human beings matter — even the lives of black and brown people.
But white lives matter (more than all other lives and it is valued more than all other beings who are “white.” “To the victor goes the spoils.”

Over the past two weeks, as we watched politicians, reporters, and all others do obeisance to the kids of Marjory Douglas High School that escaped the shooter, one can only hope that some incorruptible leaders come from the lot students that shut down various aspects of government a diplomatic way.

Perhaps one day when the cavalry goes to the black community, they will go there to rescue the citizens and show they’re not just there to collect a paycheck, shoot and beat mostly young male African-Americans.
